When Apple launched its newest operating system, Mac Os X 10.1 (Leopard), they also released the Cheetah Iso Download Pack which contains the complete set of disks needed to upgrade an older version of Mac Os X. The set includes all necessary disks for upgrading from 9.2 to 10.0 and is available for free download at apple's website or through third party download sites like Rapidshare, 4shared, Megaupload, etc.. This is a collection of 1,078 files in total and will take approximately eight hours time to install via the boot disc included in the pack; however there are speed-up guides available on youtube. The reason why the ISO boot disk takes so long to install is that it actually installs all files directly from Apple's server into your hard drive, unlike other ISO images which are compressed.
